Dogs of Paddington Old Cemetery (DOPOC)
CODE OF CONDUCT FOR DOG OWNERS AND WALKERS IN PADDINGTON OLD CEMETERY (POC)
Paddington Old Cemetery (POC) is a much-loved green space for the local community. For everyone in the community to continue to enjoy this unique and beautiful place, dog walkers are committing to a code of conduct for all dogs and their owners to ensure we protect our right to walk our dogs off the lead.
Avoid walking dogs off the lead near funerals or to visitors at gravesides
Clear all dog waste immediately and place in bins provided
Keep dogs within sight and earshot
Train dogs to return when called
Refrain from ball-throwing near graves, confining games to the meadows
Keep dogs away from the mound burial area or approaching new graves
Protect cemetery trees and equipment from any damage by dogs
Aggressive or overly excited dogs must be kept on leads or muzzled
Fear of dogs can be real so walkers must prevent intrusive dog behaviour
Limit the number of dogs per walker to a maximum of four at a time
Drivers must stick to 5mph and park by the chapels
